This original painting was inspired by the way I feel sitting in a field of wild flowers. I have taken a ton of photos in the fields as a wedding photographer. When I found a field of flowers (especially wild ones) I was in heaven. The way I like to paint them is more it ‘feels’ when I’m sitting there.

This original painting was inspired by the tones of hydrangeas as they fade into fall. The warm browns, merlot and blush seep into its creamy petals.
If you’ve followed me for a while you’d know that I love shooting at a venue called Pippin Hill Farms…it’s filled with hydrangeas leading up to its entrance. When I purchased what I thought was going to be my forever home back in Arkansas I planted a TON of big white hydrangeas around the sides. I sadly had to move due to un foreseen circumstances. I dream of having my forever home and planting my hydrangeas once again. So I too, can see them fade from summer
